MCA Promotes Miranda McDonald & Jimmy Rector
MCA, a division of Universal Music Group, has promoted Miranda McDonald and Jimmy Rector to Senior Vice President, Promotion & Regional Marketing. Both executives will report directly to Damon Moberly, Senior Vice President of Promotion & Touring.
In their expanded roles, McDonald and Rector will continue leading national country radio strategy while overseeing regional marketing initiatives that connect artists with fans across markets. The promotions reflect MCA’s continued investment in building cohesive, artist-first campaigns that align radio, touring and on-the-ground marketing to drive long-term career growth.
McDonald will continue overseeing promotion efforts for the MCA Nashville roster, working closely with artists including George Strait, Reba, Parker McCollum, Jon Pardi, Jordan Davis, Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood and more. Known for her deep relationships across the radio landscape and hands-on campaign leadership, she has played a key role in delivering multiple No. 1 singles and sustained chart success for the label’s artists.
Rector will continue to lead promotion for the Mercury Nashville roster, including Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, Tyler Hubbard, Tucker Wetmore and others. His strategic approach to radio storytelling and regional market engagement has helped launch and sustain breakthrough campaigns across both emerging and established acts.
