Greylan James Signs Global Publishing Deal
Relative Music Group announces the signing of Greylan James to a global publishing deal in partnership with Sony Music Publishing.
“Greylan is talented across-the-board. He’s a great guitar player, he’s a great singer, and he’s a great songwriter,” says Relative Music Group’s Michael Hardy. “The first song he turned in as a Relative writer blew me away, and I know that they are just going to keep getting better and better. Originally hailing from Knoxville, Tenn., the singer-songwriter earned his first No. 1. in 2023 after co-writing Jordan Davis’ smash hit “Next Thing You Know.” The multi-week chart-topper would go on to win ACM Song of the Year at this year’s ACM Awards in Frisco, Texas, as well as garner Greylan his first CMA Award nomination for Song of the Year. Greylan has also earned songwriting credits for major artists such as Kenny Chesney, Cole Swindell, Chris Young, Bailey Zimmerman, Scotty McCreery and more. To date, Greylan’s songbook has amassed more than 650 million streams.

The Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment recording artist is set to release new music later this month with his highly anticipated track “Who Broke Up With You.” Penned with co-writers Ashley Gorley and Brad Clawson and produced by Brock Berryhill and Jason Massey, the follow up to his debut single “Young Man” is set to release on July 26.
