“This song came from picturing the moment you get to heaven and fear finally disappears,” shares the Texas native. “It’s grief mixed with peace, knowing the ones we’ve lost are safe and forever home. It really came from prayer. From closing my eyes and believing that heaven is real, angels are real and the ones we lost are finally at rest – they’re home in a way this world could never provide.”

The writing process was unlike anything he had experienced before. “I sat down to write this song and basically just blacked out – it’s the first time something like that has ever happened. I don’t remember anything. When I finally looked up, 45 minutes had passed and the song was finished. I didn’t feel like I wrote it – I felt like it was given to me. That’s why this one will always be different.”
