BMI’s Cody Johnson & Carrie Underwood Celebrate #1 Song

BMI hosted Cody Johnson and Carrie Underwood on Thursday (August 21) to celebrate their #1 song “I’m Gonna Love You.” The pair were joined by BMI songwriters Kelly Archer, Travis Denning and Chris Stevens along with producer Trent Willmon. The melodious duet is the lead single from Johnson’s Leather Deluxe Edition album and serves as his fourth consecutive No. One hit and marks Underwood’s 29th career chart-topper.

Emceed by BMI’s Leslie Roberts, the No. One celebration for “I’m Gonna Love You” shed light on the authentic storytelling and lyrical artistry behind the track, which was written nine years ago this month.
