Alt-Country Up-And-Comer Eli Adams Releases ‘For You Again’
With its title track noted as one of Whiskey Riff’s new country songs that need to be on your radar, For You Again, Eli Adams’ third studio album, dropped today. The Arkansas native’s unique musical style and distinct individuality is on full display throughout this cross-genre project.
Comprising of 12 songs, the album features 9 original tracks all solo-written by the artist himself and 3 cover songs. “This album is a collection of work that my band and I have poured ourselves into throughout the last year or so,” shares the singer-songwriter. “I decided to title it ‘For You Again’ because as much as this music is an outlet for us, it’s also something that resonates with others, and I truly wanted to deliver these songs to everyone in a way that makes them feel just as much a part of it as we are.”
Deeply inspired by traditional country legends, strongly impacted by the soulful sounds of Memphis and appreciative of all that music has to offer, Adams hand-selected each cover song to be featured on the project. One of which, “I’m A Ram” by Al Green, is uniquely special to the emerging artist, with Green being raised in Forrest City, Arkansas – the very same town as he was, which is just 45 minutes west of Memphis. Produced by Jason Weinheimer, this must-hear release will hold your attention through its very last note, mixing horns with catchy guitar riffs and smooth vocals.
