Tyler Nance Releases New Single, Makes Whiskey Jam Debut
21-year-old rising Country artist Tyler Nance released another heart-rending track, “Whiskey Me or the Pain,” on Friday. On the heels of his debut EP Wasted Chances amassing over 4M streams, this is the emerging artist’s third new single, which will be a part of his forthcoming project dropping later this spring.
Hooking listeners with its raw opening line, this song delivers authenticity and first-rate songwriting, relaying emotion without sugar-coating a single thought. “I wrote ‘Whiskey Me or the Pain’ about addictions coming in the way of relationships,” shares the artist-songwriter. “For me, it’s something I’ve been on both sides of, whether it’s trying to help someone get out of that rut or being the one stuck in it. I feel like a lot of people from small towns like where I came from can relate to the song. It also correlates with my time working on the road and reflects some of those relationships I made out there. It gives a gritty image of what a lot of people don’t want to talk about in life, which I feel like is missed a lot in music.”
The track began resonating with listeners before its release, as multiple videos teasing the song went viral on TikTok, reaching more than 1M views each. Quickly catching the attention of many, Tyler made his Whiskey Jam debut on Thursday evening and will be heading on a 25-show run with Kidd G next month.
