Ryan Necci Signs Global Publishing Deal

Warner Chappell Music (WCM) Nashville and Southern Pacific Music have signed a global publishing deal with Americana singer-songwriter Ryan Necci. He is the founder and lead singer of alt-country group, Ryan Necci and The Buffalo Gospel, a band that spans genres including country, folk, Americana, and blues. Their 2022 hit “If I Was the Last Man,” written by Necci, has amassed over 600K streams on Spotify and counting. In addition to his work with the group, Necci has collaborated with artists including Lori McKenna, Jim Lauderdale, Stephen Wilson Jr., Flatland Cavalry, Ashley Monroe, and Luke Grimes.

“The first time I heard Ryan Necci’s music I was stopped in my tracks, and he quickly became one of my favorite songwriters in Nashville,” shares Erland Wanberg, Co-Founder & CEO, Southern Pacific Music. “Ryan’s voice and lyricism are one of a kind; he’s a true artist and masterful storyteller. Born and raised in a small Wisconsin farm town, Ryan Necci first connected with music through his parents’ country and folk records. After graduating from UW–Eau Claire, he formed Ryan Necci and The Buffalo Gospel, releasing their debut album We Can Be Horses in 2013. Since then, Necci has built a strong catalog of critically acclaimed records and EPs. In March, the band released a six-song EP, The Letting Go: Part 1, with a new full-length due later this year.
