Relative Music Group Inks Publishing Deal With Kyle Clark

Relative Music Group announces today the signing of Kyle Clark to a global publishing deal in partnership with Sony Music Publishing.

“I’ve had the chance to write with Kyle a handful of times now and I can honestly say his natural instincts are spot on – right down the gut,” says Michael Hardy. “Kyle is a great songwriter and a great human being. He works hard and I can’t wait to see what happens with his time here at Relative.”

Clark is a 26-year-old artist-writer-producer born in Honolulu, Hawaii and raised in Jefferson, Georgia. After winning a song competition through a radio station in Atlanta, Georgia two years in row, Clark’s original songs found their way to award-winning songwriter Jordan Schmidt (Blake Shelton / Tyler Hubbard) and his brother, Dane. That relationship eventually helped Clark land his first publishing deal in 2019.

Within his first year living and writing in town, he co-wrote RIAA Gold-certified single, “Villain” (Lily Rose). As the global pandemic impacted in-person writing sessions, Clark focused his efforts on learning how to produce music, leaning on Schmidt and his roommate, producer Jacob Durrett (Morgan Wallen / ERNEST / Dylan Scott) to soak up every bit of knowledge he could. Since then Clark has landed major label cuts with Jon Pardi, Mitchell Tenpenny, Chayce Beckham, Mackenzie Carpenter, Erin Kinsey, Restless Road, and more.

In 2022, a video of Clark performing his own unreleased song “Hope It’s Hot Out” caught fire on TikTok. The song was released on May 27th, 2022, earning one million streams its first week. The song has since garnered over 35 million streams. Kyle is in partnership with WME and Stem and continues to release music independently.
