Reid T. Dillon Releases Debut Album

After more than a decade as the lead guitarist for ACM-nominated band Flatland Cavalry, Reid T. Dillon releases his first solo album, The Other Side, Friday. The seven-track, introspective project marks a bold new chapter for the Texas-born musician.

Produced by Scott Faris at Lubbock’s Amusement Park Studio, the same studio behind several of Flatland Cavalry’s most celebrated projects, including the RIAA Gold-certified single “A Life Where We Work Out,” The Other Side is led by early singles “Lovin’ You Left To Do” and “Never Recover.” Together, his songs introduce a more vulnerable, melodic side of Dillon’s artistry, blending intricate guitar work with intimate songwriting.

Since joining Flatland Cavalry in 2014, Dillon has played a pivotal role in shaping the band’s sound and building a dedicated global fan base. With The Other Side, he turns the lens inward, offering a personal, self-penned project that reflects on growth, longing, and letting go.

“I wanted to put this album out to share what’s been on my heart and mind through music,” Dillon said. “While I’m still very much a part of Flatland Cavalry, some songs I write don’t quite fit within that world. This solo project gave me space to say the things I’ve carried personally. I hope that somebody relates to these songs and even finds relief knowing that someone may be going through the same thing that they are going through. There is beauty on the other side of pain, doubt, heartbreak, and your comfort zone. Chase your fears!”
