Red Bull Jukebox Takes Over The Pinnacle
Red Bull Jukebox made its highly anticipated return to Nashville on Saturday (November 15) with its unique live music experience that gives the audience control of the setlist, including how artists reimagine favorite tunes and which special guests step into the spotlight. The next generation of country stars lit up the stage: Treaty Oak Revival, Ashley Cooke, Kashus Culpepper, Carter Faith and more. In the months leading up the event, fans were invited to cast their votes for setlist selections online, as well as on-site through interactive voting mechanisms and light-up wristbands.
The Pinnacle came to life with fans lining up hours before the show. Hosts Ward Guenther of Whiskey Jam and Morgan Huelsman of iHeartRadio welcomed the packed house to kick off the night, with performances backed by Miles McPherson and the Red Bull Jukebox House Band.
The evening opened with Carter Faith, who warmed up the room with her latest release, “Bar Star.” Fans voted for Nashville songwriter Medium Build to join onstage for a heartfelt rendition of “Crying Over U.” Faith also reimagined “Grudge” from her debut album Cherry Valley, performing it with a gospel choir before closing her set with “Sex, Drugs, & Country Music.”
Following her act, Alabama’s country crooner Kashus Culpepper graced the stage with a raw, soulful set. A student of Southern music, he wove storytelling with husky vocals on tracks including “Pour Me Out,” “Man Of His Word,” and the Motown classic “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” accompanied by GRAMMY-nominated Maggie Rose. His performance was capped with a nod to his roots through a rendition of “Out of My Mind” performed with a drumline representing Alabama HBCU Talladega College.
Next, Ashley Cooke brought her signature pop-country sound to the stage with surprise appearances from GRAMMY Award-winning singer Colbie Caillat and local Nashville DJ MOONLGHT. Hot off the release of her new project “ace,” she rolled through fan favorites “the hell you are” and “it’s been a year,” selected from a live vote. The crowd also elected a rebellious riff on Avril Lavigne’s “Complicated” to close out her set.
Treaty Oak Revival brought it home with a rousing performance that brought Southern Texas to the Nashville stage with surprise guests Kimberly Perry (of The Band Perry), Carter Faith, Gideon and Josee Klein. The band showcased their trademark blend of Red Dirt Country and Southern Rock on “Missed Call” and a cover of blink-182’s “All The Small Things.” The audience was given a vote between a classic version of “Boomtown” or an amped up “Super Boomtown”. The latter won by a landslide, and as Ashley Cooke, Kashus Culpepper, Carter Faith, and hosts returned to the stage for one final hurrah, confetti rained down over the crowd in a celebratory moment for the true VIPs of the night.
As a tribute to the songwriter’s journey, the second annual Red Bull Jukebox competition gave wings to aspiring writers with the chance to perform in front of thousands of fans, record at Red Bull Music Studios in Los Angeles and receive one-on-one coaching. Before the final act, concert goers cast their votes for North-Alabama artist, and this year’s Songwriting Competition winner, Jackson Cannon, who performed his original track “Never Been To Heaven.” Support for the songwriter’s journey continues in partnership with CBS’s “The Road” where the winner of the show will win the opportunity to perform live at Red Bull Jukebox 2026.
