Jenny is a perfect fit for our team—she is smart, energetic, and a leader. I have watched her career from afar and I’m excited to bring her energy to the office. Matt is a talented and proven creative executive that knows how to lead a staff and develop careers for songwriters and artists. He has always been someone that I can count on. Cameron has been firing on all cylinders in her short time here. Her position takes a lot of creativity and strategy, and I’m proud of the hard work she does for us. Our Peermusic Nashville team continues to go from strength to strength and we’ve dialed in the ideal team to offer our writers the very best support.”

In her new role as Senior Creative Director for Peermusic, Jennifer Hall will work on the day-to-day development of the company roster, creating opportunities and song placements for writers, as well as work with the team to sign and develop new talent. Jennifer Hall was recently featured in Music Row’s “2025 Next Big Thing Nashville” and brings over ten years of music industry experience. Most recently, Hall worked as Senior Creative Director at Porchlight Music where she worked to sign new talent and support her roster of writers and artists with writing connections and pitching songs to labels, producers, managers, and artists. Prior to that she worked as Creative Director for Sheltered Music, expanding the roster and assisting in administrative, creative, and digital capacities. Hall also previously served as Creative Director for Given Entertainment in Nashville. Hall is an Indiana native and a graduate of  Middle Tennessee State University’s music business program.

“I am thrilled to be joining the Peermusic Nashville team,” adds Jennifer Hall. “It’s an honor not only to work for a company with such a rich, historic legacy, but alongside an incredible creative team and exceptional roster. I’m deeply grateful to Michael Knox and the Peermusic team for this opportunity and I look forward to diving in.”

There he assisted in production coordination on albums by Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, and Jo Dee Messina. This led to an opportunity to join Warner Chappell Nashville in 2004 as Production Manager where he handled all aspects of the catalog for the pub company’s writers and A&R staff. Over the next 13 years his role expanded to include song pitching, graphic design for marketing, pitching for film and television, and consulting for creative technology solutions. I look forward to continuing to support our Nashville roster while contributing to their success through creativity and dedication!”

Peermusic Nashville’s office is led by Michael Knox – a 35 year Music Row executive who knows a thing or two about making a hit. The past 12 months has been a period of unprecedented momentum, with Knox casting a palpable influence over country music, architecting the backbone of one successive hit after another and reaching career milestones both as a music publisher—in his role of President, Peermusic Nashville, the world’s largest privately held independent music publishing company—and as an accomplished music producer in his own right with an enviable output, having produced 29 #1 songs, ranking as the #1 Country Producer by Billboard multiple times, with over 60 million singles and 30 million albums sold.

At Peermusic Nashville, Knox oversees a first-rate group of songwriters who know the company is in it for the long haul when it comes to building a songwriter’s career. The company recently signed Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee David Lee Murphy to his first ever co-publishing deal. David Lee Murphy is well known for his #1 country hits as a recording artist (“Dust on the Bottle” and “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright” and his cuts include #1 singles “Living in Fast Forward” for Kenny Chesney; “Big Green Tractor” for Jason Aldean (produced by Peermusic’s Michael Knox); “Anywhere With You” for Jake Owen; and the multiple GRAMMY nominated, #1 hit “Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not” for Thompson Square, to name a few. The team also recently signed songwriter/producer Clint Lagerberg (whose credits include “Blue Ain’t Your Color” by Keith Urban which was a Music Row Song of the Year in 2017), and “Here Comes Goodbye” by Rascal Flatts. Peermusic also recently acquired the entire music publishing catalog of bluegrass legend Earl Scruggs and the majority of the song catalog of Gary Scruggs. Peermusic have served as the publishers of the Earl Scruggs song catalog from the time the songs were written.

Peermusic has nearly one hundred years of legacy in country music. Legendary Country music pioneer, Jimmie Rodgers, was one of the first writers ever signed to Peermusic back in 1927 by the company founder, Ralph S. Peer, and would later become one of the first performers inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. In the summer of 1927, Peer also recorded The Carter Family and other acts in a series of sessions known as The Bristol Sessions, which Johnny Cash once called “the single most important event in the history of country music.” Today, Knox ensures that the company’s rich history of championing songwriters with its Nashville office remains as strong as ever.
