Liz Rose Renews Global Partnership With WCM Nashville

Warner Chappell Music (WCM) Nashville has renewed its global publishing deal with GRAMMY award-winning trailblazer Liz Rose. A masterful hitmaker, Rose made history in 2019 as one of the first two songwriters appointed to the National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA) Board of Directors and was later inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2023. She has penned hits for artists such as Tim McGraw, Miranda Lambert, Megan Moroney, Dan + Shay and Parker McCollum, amongst others.

The renewed agreement also reinforces a landmark pact with Liz Rose Music, Rose’s independent publishing company. Founded in 2010 alongside her son, Scott Ponce, the firm boasts a diverse and talented roster of songwriters, producers, and artists, including Eric Paslay, Adam Sanders, and Cassidy Daniels.

“I’m really happy to continue my partnership with the Warner Chappell team,” says Liz Rose. “We’ve built something special together over the years, and I’m grateful for the trust, support, and shared commitment to great songs. I’m excited to see what this next chapter brings.”

Austen Adams, President, WCM Nashville added: “Without a doubt, Liz is one of the most influential songwriters of our time, with an impressive catalog of music whose impact transcends generations. We’re proud to continue our longstanding relationship and remain committed to supporting her vision as both a songwriter and a leader. Together with Scott, they’ve built an incredibly talented roster of creators at Liz Rose Music, and we’re honored to be a part of their next chapter.”

Rose was a pivotal collaborator for Taylor Swift early in her career, co-writing 16 global hits, including “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version),” “You Belong With Me,” and “Teardrops On My Guitar,” among many others. Beyond that, she has helped shape the sound of a genre, crafting songs for major artists like Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, Chris Young, and Eli Young Band.

An ACM, CMA, and SESAC Songwriter of the Year recipient and Texas Heritage Songwriter Hall of Fame inductee, Rose has a string of No. 1 hits, including “Burn It Down” (Parker McCollum), “Girl Crush” (Little Big Town), and “It All Comes Out In The Wash” (Miranda Lambert) – the latter earning her a Grammy nod for Best Country Song in 2020. Last year, Rose was honored with a star on the Music City Walk of the Fame. Today, she continues to support the songwriting community as a board member of CMA and NSAI.
